Rideshare

Getting to Red Rocks with a rideshare is honestly a breeze. It’s typically not too pricey, and there’s a designated drop-off area right at the top of the amphitheater. Convenient, easy, and stress-free. We love that!

First off, surge pricing is real. What cost you $30 to get there might suddenly be $90 or more to get home. Painful. On top of that, the pick-up spot is not exactly nearby—you’ve got to hike nearly all the way out of the venue grounds to the Jurrasic Lot (check out the map below), and after dancing your heart out all night, a 15–20 minute downhill walk just to start your journey home is… rough.

So yes, Uber and Lyft work when you need them, but they’re definitely not my favorite way to wrap up a night at Red Rocks.

Plus, a lot of the buses have water available for the ride back, which is exactly what you need after a night of dancing.

One thing to keep in mind: shuttle schedules are set. They’ll usually drop you off right when doors open and depart about 30 minutes after the show ends. So if you’re planning on leaving early or lingering late, this might not be your vibe. But for the right show, when you’re in it for the long haul, this option is pretty perfect!

What’s even better? They spotlight some awesome local favorites, including Anthony’s pizza, Birdcall chicken sandwiches, Machete tacos, Rolling Smoke BBQ, Huckleberry Roasters coffee (my personal fav coffee company in Denver!), and Stranahan’s Whiskey. Whether you’re craving something quick or a little indulgent, there’s a good chance you’ll find it here.

Now, let me let you in on one of my favorite little Red Rocks secrets—a hidden bar I love to escape to when I need a break from the crowd or want to catch up with friends. Head into the Visitor Center, go down the stairs, and take a right. Keep walking and you’ll find a small bar just outside a door on the right-hand side. It’s got high-top seating, there’s rarely a line, and it’s my go-to spot when I’m in the mood for a nicer mixed drink. Total hidden gem!

Restrooms

There’s nothing worse than going to a show and dealing with a shitty bathroom situation—pun absolutely intended. Luckily, that’s not something you’ll have to worry about when going to a Red Rocks show.

The restrooms at Red Rocks are surprisingly nice and well-maintained throughout the entire night. Even as the show goes on, they stay clean and stocked, which is always a win.

And remember that hidden bar I mentioned earlier? There’s a hidden gem of a bathroom nearby, too! Just head into the Visitor Center, go down the stairs, make a right, and keep walking. You’ll find a set of restrooms on your left that almost never have a line.
